I believe...'UREKA' is the word I would use to describe my elation as I browsed your website. For years, all of my creative impulses, love of antiques and heirlooms, and passion for creating little vignettes all around my home for as long as I can remember.

I've been searching for a way to satisfy and take advantage of this passion and gift I have for doing this type of work...and Your Cottage and website, have given me the 'light-bulb' in my head. This is what I want to do!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to have/create/develop found heirlooms and special things, into wonderful pieces to gift and collect. Sounds really silly, but I actually have tears in my eyes, as I am writing this to you. Yes, I'm 50 and I'm certain the hormones are on escalators...but I'm also a woman who raised three kids on her own, and haven't had any formal education beyond high school. Options are limiting for people with my lack of professionalism, to be able to succeed financially and in many other factors of 'success', whatever that definition may be. Now, with the goal in sight, I can begin to develop my talent and passion, and pursue my lifelong love of heirlooms, and passion and talent in creativity that God has given me. I learned about you a few years ago through the gorgeous magazines, especially Romantic Homes and have followed you since, being inspired
by all that you do. Your sweet nature shone out and I have been blessed by reading your blogs, subscribing to the feeds and taking pure delight in seeing what treasures you have created.

Thank you for sharing your talents with the world and for the sweetness and light that you bring. I have to admit to being a little green-eyed sometimes when I read of others meeting you and "get togethers" with other gorgeous gals there. One day I really hope that I will be able to take part in such things, but for now I live half a world away here in Western Australia. Rest assured that there are kindred spirits here who love and decorate in similar fashion, but ruminate that we can't always get all the yummy things here that you have there!

Cathy: Just to let you know . . . received my pink ice skates in Friday's mail. Have been too busy to email you & let you know that they are better than picture-perfect. Hi Cathy, I picked up my copy of Romantic Homes a couple of days ago and the layout on you and your home is spectacular!! I loved it I simply stopped everything, sat down with the article, and "devoured" it. Your home is so beautiful. I love the light pink walls throughout the house. Dear Cathy, A huge heartfelt thank you for sending me such a beautiful gift with 
my order. I was awestruck when I opened the vintage "courting couple" plaques 
you sent me.  They are now hanging on the wall amidst a romantic vignette of

Hi Cathy,  I just received another beautiful package from you. The beautiful tole 
wastepaper basket and tissue holder came, today. They are so special. They remind me 
of a very similar set that my grandmother had when I was a little girl. I've put them in 
my powder room which is kind of a French cottage/Victorian style. They look like they

My beautiful treasures arrived this evening! It always feels like Christmas whenever I get one of your packages in the mail. "Hi Cathy, I received my package today, and let me just START by saying that your packing was great. I LOOOVE my "treasures". They are so beautiful, and look just like the pics. The candy box, sewing box, and the knitting holder are great ! My mom eyed the sewing box, and she said that she use to have the same one as a kid and used it as her "ballerina" box. She put het tu-tu, leotards etc. in it, and the pocket in it, is where she put her ballerina slippers ! Just figured to tell you in case you get the same thing in or something similar you can put that as a suggestion of its many uses. I'm 300% satisfied with my order. I am a customer for life cathy !!. I know someone who blew me away with her presentation and that is Cathy of Treasured Heirlooms. Have you ever bought something from her??? I did once and when she sent me the item my mouth was hanging. She wrapped the item in tissue paper, tied it with a bow...then put a card in it thanking me for my order. In her thank you card she attached her business card and even sent me seeds for my garden.
